How we came to be.

Sound to Sea was born out of our founding members’ experiences providing mental health care to clients in the public sector.

Working within mobile crisis units, schools, and hospitals, we found that connecting clients after discharge or graduation was more difficult than it should be. The “care gap” is often talked about where clients can fall through the “gaps” between more comprehensive programs as they attempt to find weekly care.

As each of us went into private practice, we wanted to stay committed to increasing accessibility across states, identities, and hard-to-find specialties, especially those historically under-served in private practice settings (psychosis, attachment trauma, neurodivergence, etc.)

Transformative therapy happens when you work alongside someone that gets you. We hope that this cooperative serves as a stepping stone toward finding your therapeutic fit.

Our Values

Maintaining a majority person of color (POC) cohort of providers from diverse backgrounds, identities, and specialities.

Specializing in treatment areas historically under-served in private practice, including psychosis, dissociative presentations, complex trauma, and neurodivergence.

Striving to improve our practice through individual learning, consultation, and an active curiosity for the human experience.

Growing this cooperative in a manner that increases our ability to serve those with identities on the margin(s), while remaining thoughtful and responsive in how we scale.

If you feel unsafe with yourself or are actively in crisis, please call/text 988 or visit your nearest emergency room.
